Everyone's favourite Gloucester boxer, Akeem Ennis Brown, AKA Riiddy Riival, has brought back two title belts to Gloucester.
After seeing the fight cancelled twice before, the super lightweight fighter went head to head with Philip Bowes on September 2nd in this long awaited event, defeating him to become British and Commonwealth champion.

Retaining his unbeaten record, Riiddy took control in the later rounds, winning both belts with scorecard totals of 115-112, 115-112 and 116-111.
Speaking about the event, Riiddy said "I'm really pleased to win these belts. My whole city has been behind me backing me. I'm happy to be the first person from Gloucester to hold these belts." "It's always been a rugby city but I want to change it to a boxing city. I'm hoping I've opened the door and shined a light on the city because we have lots of good boxers coming through."
Riiddy has been training out of Gloucester Fight Factory since the age of 14, under the guidance of coach Jon Pitman, and has developed his boxing skills to achieve an undefeated record as a professional.
We think you'll agree the event was an amazing achievement for both Riiddy and Jon Pitman, but also testament to the huge levels of support given by members of the Fight Factory Boxing club and the wider Gloucester community.
Congratulations Riiddy and Jon!
